re you feeling a little bored with your wheels? Perhaps you're ready to investigate the new models? It's not too soon to start looking down the road at what 1999 has to offer. American car companies are unveiling their latest and greatest designs, treating the public to innovative and improved versions of some old favorites. New safety features and quite a few added "bells and whistles" steer these classics straight into the future. Here are three of next year's shining stars:
The Cadillac Seville STS. Can't get comfortable when you're driving? This sports touring sedan can cure that problem. An optional feature on the 1999 model is a computer that measures the weight, size and posture of the driver and front-seat passenger. An air compressor then conforms the seats to both bodies, reshaping every four minutes as shifting occurs.

The Mercury Cougar. Fortune magazine calls the 1999 Cougar "a much younger, hipper looking beast." The Cougar has been reincarnated as a more modern, harder-edged version of its former self. But it's also a safer one, offering 3-point belts for all passengers and side air bags for front-seat passengers.
The Chrysler 300M. This luxury sports sedan was designed to remind us of the Letter Series hot rods of 1955 to 1965. Complete with a V-6 engine, it offers style and plenty of horsepower. It also comes with antilock disc brakes and traction control.
